After a decade of winter memories, Hot Dash is celebrating its final finish line on Saturday, March 21. Whether you’ve been a regular participant or want to be part of the last Hot Dash celebration, we’re so grateful for everyone who has embraced the elements and celebrated the Minnesotan spirit with us over the years!

Join us for a walk down memory lane as we take a look back at some of the great moments from Hot Dash over the years....

You can’t have a race named after Hot Dish without gathering over a delicious snack at the finish festival. From bite-sized portions of tater tot hot dish, to enjoying Uncle Frankie’s Brats, to roasting marshmallows over the firepits to stay warm, our participants have enjoyed 10 years of good food and better company after they complete their race. Summit Brewing Co always kept the beer flowing, and our friends at Misfit Coffee have shown up and kept things cozy!

While enjoying beverages and snacks, we’ve also kept the party going in many different ways since 2015. Back in 2020 when Hot Dash was cancelled due to the pandemic, we were first introduced to the Hot Dash Official Relatives: Uncle Ed and Aunt Martha! Who doesn’t remember their beloved letters filled with Minnesota-isms. They kept us feeling connected while far apart, and so, of course, they had to make their own appearance as a photo stop at the festival. In 2025, we hosted ice carvers who wowed us all with their talents. As always, we’ve enjoyed watching all our participants ring the PR bell to kick off their racing season, before taking a chance at the Meat Raffle to cap off the Minnesota-centered celebration!

We would be remiss not to mention the variations of flannel you’ve brought to the start line since 2015! What’s more Minnesotan than Paul Bunyan? How about thousands of runners dressed up as Paul Bunyan in the freezing cold temperatures running towards hot dish and a meat raffle? Thanks to everyone who’s donned their best flannel and brought a smile to our faces on race day.
