Meet the Artists

alxndr
i’m alxndr. i am an illustrator, designer, and okay dude living and working in saint paul, minnesota. i like to make lines that tell a story and shapes that follow along. i’m inspired by vintage album covers, traditional tattoos, screen printing, and simplicity. i specialize in illustrations, packaging, branding, and layout … but i like to get my hands dirty and am down for just about any project. when i’m not making stuff in my studio, i can be found getting lost on a run while running way too many miles, writing terrible indie rock songs, gardening with my wife, or on a sushi date with my daughter.

Annie Tyner
Annie is graphic designer & illustrator based in Minneapolis. Developing a strong drawing + fine arts background at a young age, she went on to study Design and Illustration at SCAD. Now, she specializes in branding, packaging and illustration projects while constantly making little projects for herself and others in her free time. Her other favorite hobby is running, and she plans to race the marathon at TCM weekend!

Erin Fredell
I am Erin Fredell, Artist, stay at home mom of 3 young kids and three time finisher of the TC marathon. I enjoy drawing in my spare time and teaching my my kid's different art styles and techniques. I am a nature enthusiast who uses nature and my surroundings as inspiration in my drawings. Alongside being in nature and drawing my hobbies also include running, reading and drinking tea.

Leah Meilander
Leah Meilander (she/her) is a freelance designer and artist that specializes in brand identity, graphic design, hand lettering, and illustration. Her inspiration comes from her experiences and perspectives on life & from a love of storytelling. She enjoys experimenting with letters and layouts in her lettering work, and draw both surreal/concept art & more realistic botanical art in her illustrations.

Margi Grill
Margi Grill’s work aims to start a conversation about our relationship to the natural world by documenting how landscapes exist in a modern environment. Margi was recently awarded the Minneapolis Park Board Artist Grant for the 2021 Posters for Parks Exhibition and in 2005 was granted an Artist Participation Scholarship to Split Rock Arts Program. She has had solo exhibitions at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Inver Hills Community College, and Silverwood Park Gallery. Margi Grill received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She currently works out of her home studio in the North End Neighborhood of Saint Paul.

Mike Davis
Mike Davis is an acclaimed graphic artist and co-owner of award-winning Twin Cities-based creative studio Burlesque of North America. Bred on a steady diet of Atari, rap music, Star Wars, Transformers, skateboarding, graffiti, and international food packaging, Mike went on to formally study graphic design before moving to Minneapolis to work with the team at Life Sucks Die magazine to form Burlesque. As a graphic designer and part of Burlesque, Mike has completed numerous projects for a wide range of clients including X-Games, UFC, Nike Sportswear, 3M, Chromeo, Red Bull, World Street Kitchen, Minnesota Public Radio, Modist Brewing, and Dual Citizen Brewing.

Taylor Tinkham
Taylor Tinkham is an editorial illustrator and triathlete living in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis. Her work has been featured in publications like Northern Gardener Magazine, Full Pour Magazine, and All About Beer Magazine, and she has worked with clients like Sow True Seed, the Minneapolis Farmers Market, Weck Jars, and the Lake Street Community Council. She is also a Master Gardener Volunteer and Food Preservation Consultant through UofM Extension. When she isn’t drawing or cooking, you can probably find her somewhere cozy with a book, swimming in a lake, or hiking in the woods with her dog, Cricket.
26.2: A Marathon Poster Show
The 2025 Medtronic Twin Marathon Weekend will once again feature a poster show to raise funds for Twin Cities In Motion's nonprofit mission and to support local artists.
26.2: A Marathon Poster Show, presented by Visit Saint Paul, will feature limited-edition posters created by local artists inspired by the Most Beautiful Urban Marathon in America®. Artists, designers, illustrators, are invited to create a piece inspired by the beauty and energy of the marathon: the sights, sounds, highlights, and landmarks that capture the spirit of the marathon and the Twin Cities community.
50% of profits from each poster sale will go to TCM's non-profit mission, including the TC Kids Run Free program, with the other 50% going directly to artist.
The poster show itself will take place on Thursday, September 25 (location TBD) with posters available for purchase afterward at the Health & Fitness Expo (Friday, October 3 – Saturday, October 4) and online through October.
Applications closed on July 25.
