How to Get and Stay Warm - Winter Running
Wednesday, December 3 @ 6 - 7:30 P.M.
Calling winter runners, walkers and anyone recreating outdoors in the winter. Join us for a workshop on what to wear and do to get and stay warm in the winter.
Learn how to get and stay warm this winter. We'll meet to discuss what to wear (and not wear) and what to do (and not do) to regulate your body's temperature in cold weather.
This workshop will be led by Asha Shoffner, Asha (she/her) is an outdoor educator, a Thursday runner, and the founding organizer of BIPOC Outdoors Twin Cities. Asha facilitates safe and empowering outdoor programs by listening to community, leveraging resources, and centering the wisdom, experience, and joy of those who are most marginalized.
Born near the equator, Asha is not a fan of Minnesota winters, but knows that for her, being socially isolated is worse than being cold, so she either layers up and goes outside, or she goes to hot yoga. Asha is the cat mom of Slay (short for Mouse Slayer), and the proud auntie of three nephews, whom she affectionately refers to as her Lil’ Homies.
This is free and open to the public.
