It’s Time to Move Forward.
So, we’re opening registration for the 2021 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend on Thursday, April 8.
It’s Important to be Safe.
So, we’ve partnered with experts and officials to build an event that’s COVID-safe from start to finish.
It’s More than a Marathon.
So, we’re excited to gather the community, support the nonprofits that depend on our event and give runners an opportunity, at last, to celebrate personal triumph.
Now More than Ever.
The community and its nonprofits need support. Participating with supports our nonprofit mission and efforts across the community.
You’ll help:
- Encourage and support healthy activities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities
- Provide a vital platform for local charities to raise more than $1-million annually for community causes
- Invest in our community through partners like Girls on the Run and the YWCA of Minneapolis
- Develop healthy, active habits in future generations via TCM’s youth events and high school free running shoe program
Safety has always been our organization’s top priority and organizing a COVID-safe marathon weekend is our guiding star this year. Accordingly, this year’s event will look different. Some of the most noticeable changes include, but are not limited to:
- Reduced field sizes in all races, with the marathon capped at 4,000 runners
- Mask-wearing requirements except for while racing
- Social distancing requirements across the event weekend
- Spectating discouraged and spectator access limited to certain areas
- Reduced touchpoints whenever possible
