Questions?

When should I register?

Registration opens on September 7, 10a.m.

Can I receive a refund or defer my entry to next year?

Refunds are available within 48 hours of registration. This policy is valid until 5 days before the event. To request a refund, email info@tcmevents.org within 48 hours of when you submitted your registration. If accepted, you will be refunded your race entry fee; online transaction fees are non-refundable. TCM does not have a deferral program.

Can I pick up my friend's packet?

Yes. Please have their race number and the correct spelling of the person's name available during pick up. Registrants will be notified of race numbers in the pre-race email following the end of online registration. Picking up others' packets is limited to FOUR at a time if others are waiting in line; thanks for understanding.

Do I have to run the entire time?

No, the Turkey Day 5k is a walker-friendly event. Turkey Day 5k participants must, however, be able to complete the whole course—whether walking, jogging, sprinting, skipping, or wheeling—by no later than 10:00am, which would be approximately a 30-minute-per-mile pace if you were the final starter.

Are strollers / dogs permitted?

Strollers are permitted in the 5K and must display a stroller bib assigned at packet pickup. For security and safety purposes, all persons with a stroller or baby jogger in the race must be able to maintain 30-minute-per-mile pace and agree to the guidelines listed in registration for participation with a stroller.

We love four-legged friends, however, they are not permitted on course. Thanks for understanding.

Can I volunteer for the event?

Yes! We're looking for people available to volunteer at the event on race day. Help us set up the event, serve participants on course, manage logistics, and more. Click here.

What precautions is TCM taking to ensure my safety?

Since the start of the pandemic, Twin Cities In Motion (TCM) has worked closely with permitting municipalities and agencies, the State of Minnesota, and medical and crowd science experts to determine how to best provide the Twin Cities with a safe large-scale in-person races. Additionally, in advance of all events TCM maintains close communication with public safety officials. Safety has always been our organization’s top priority, and we continuously monitor COVID-19 and all other public health and safety risks. Any event changes or updated protocols will be communicated in the Pre-Race Email sent race week.
