The COVID Safety You Expect
This limited-size, socially distanced event is designed for a safe return to racing. Our top priority is safety. Everyone -- staff, volunteers and participants -- plays an important role in keeping the event COVID-safe. Read more here.
Registration opens at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16 and participation is limited to the first 250 runners total between the 5K and 10K — so register fast to ensure your spot. If the limit is not reached, registration will close at 9 a.m. the day before the race. There is no race day registration.
The cost of 5K registration is $35.00-$45.00 (plus processing fees).
The cost of 10K registration is $40.00-$50.00 (plus processing fees).
You may confirm your registration for this event here.
Available on race day only, 1 hour before your session begins.
The Summit Triumphant 5K features a single loop of Bde Maka Ska. The Summit Triumphant 10K includes loops of Bde Maka Ska and Lake of the Isles. Both courses run on the paved pedestrian path.
Participants in the virtual event will be able to submit results starting March 24 through July 16, 2021. Submit results here.
Gear will be mailed to the shipping address provided at the time of registration. Register by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 10 for mailing by Friday, June 18. All virtual registrations after that date and time will be mailed by Friday, July 16.
Parking is available along Bde Maka Ska Parkway, in parking bays and parking lots, many of which are pay to park locations. Neighborhood parking is also available around Bde Maka Ska. Please be aware of neighborhood specific no-parking restrictions, as runners getting parking tickets is not the fireworks anyone wants leading up to the fourth of July. There is no parking at Thomas Beach Parking Lot.
Spectators are strongly discouraged at MNy 250 and will be excluded from the entire race venue or select parts of the race venue as made possible by the event site layout.
Individual waves in each session may start up to an hour later than the session start time.
Masks are required to be worn in all areas inside the venue until you have crossed the start line. Masks do not need to be worn on course while running but should not be discarded and must be put back on as soon as possible after crossing the finish line.
Immediately after the finish line there will be a pick-up of a pre-packaged bag with short sleeve Brooks technical shirt, finisher medal, sealed bottles of fluids, and packaged food. One bag per runner, please. There will be a single fluid station with sealed, bottled fluids available on the 10K course.
In accordance with state guidelines there will be no results board, awards ceremony, or finish festival. Once participants have collected their post-race goodies they are asked to promptly depart the event venue without congregating in groups.
Additional Safety measures include, but are not limited to:
- All participants, volunteers and staff are required to undergo an on-site contactless COVID screening (screening questions) before participating in the event
- In order to comply with current state of Minnesota gathering-size restrictions, no unregistered spectators will be allowed at MNy 250s
