Parking Information

Parking is available along Bde Maka Ska Parkway, in parking bays and parking lots, many of which are pay-to-park locations. Neighborhood parking is also available around Bde Maka Ska. Packet Pick up & Check In

Advance Drive-Thru Race Number Pick Up Now Available!

Drive-thru race number pick up will be available at the Twin Cities In Motion offices the day before the event (Friday, October 30) from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Participants will remain in their car and be required to answer COVID screening questions before receiving their bib. Race Number pick up is just like Halloween candy—runners may only pick up their own packet, and you can’t get another for “your friend who isn’t there.” For complete details on the drive-thru race number pick up, click here.

Race Day Pick Up

Race day pick up will take place in the Thomas Beach parking lot and will open at 8:00 a.m. Participants will be required to answer COVID screening questions before receiving their bib. All race numbers will be available for pick up in a safe and clean environment. All race numbers will be in alphabetical order at the packet pick up location. Runners may only pick up their own number.

There will be NO gear check

Start Line Procedures

Once you have your bib, participants will be allowed to enter the large secure area near the Thomas Beach volleyball courts.

  • Only runners with visible event bibs will be allowed into this area -- no non-runners allowed.
  • Masks are required in this area and runners are required to maintain social distance as they wait for their wave to be called to the start line.
  • Waves of up to 25 runners will start every five minutes from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. (all runners of the same distance will start in waves together).
  • Participants will receive their wave assignment and start time in the pre-race scream-mail by Friday. October 30.
  • When your wave is called to the line, participants will line up in the start corral on flags six feet apart and be started in pairs every 5-10 seconds.
  • Participants will be assigned to a wave based on their estimated finish time.
  • Within waves, participants will not be assigned starting positions and may line up on whichever flag they wish.
  • Your race time does not start until you cross the start line (chip time), so it doesn't matter where within your wave you start. Unless you start next to a werewolf, in which case, be careful you don't get bit.
Post-Race

In accordance with state guidelines there will be no results board, awards ceremony, or finish festival. Once you have finished, participants will pick up a single pre-packaged bag containing your participant long sleeve shirt, sealed bottles of fluids, and packaged food (and Halloween candy!) and are then asked to leave as quickly as you would if escaping a zombie invasion. Also, clusters of people are attractive zombie-targets, so staff will ask anyone gathering in groups after finishing to disperse.
