Cheer on runners!

Companies and nonprofit organizations

If your company or nonprofit organization is interested in having a presence on the marathon course advertising your business, please contact Corporate Relations Manager Sara Brennan at Companies and nonprofit organizations are welcome to cheer on runners, but there is a sponsorship fee involved.

General spectators

We appreciate those who come out to cheer on our runners! If you'd like to have amplified sound, inflatables, or anything beyond the average spectator cheering, you'll need to fill out our Spectator Permit Application and receive permission from Twin Cities In Motion before doing so. We need to include your information on our course permit and make sure your desired location on the course doesn't have conflicts. Completed forms must be received by September 5. For questions, please email

To help thank the groups of people out cheering on runners, our mobile spectator support crew will be biking the course Sunday morning and stopping to thank groups who are especially enthusiastic and creative! We'll also hand out seven prizes, each worth a $250 donation to the recreation program, school, or neighborhood charitable organization of the group's choosing.

If you are looking for cheering supplies, visit the Medtronic Booth at the Health & Fitness Expo to make a sign at their sign creation station or pick up boppers.
