The Best Western Kelly Inn is within walking distance from the finish area, so buses will transport participants to the start line, but will NOT drop off participants after the race.

Route 55 Hiawatha Line (Airport to Downtown Minneapolis)

Light rail trains serve four downtown Minneapolis stations: Mall of America Field, Government Plaza, Nicollet Mall and Warehouse District. Trains leave every 10-15 minutes, and every 7.5 minutes during rush hours. Travel time to Warehouse District (last stop) is 25 minutes. For more transit information, visit metrotransit.org.

 

Taxi Service

Follow the Ground Transportation/Taxi signs at the airport to the travel concierge for taxi service to any location in the metro.

Race Weekend Parking

Parking is available on the streets and in various lots around the Capitol Grounds in St. Paul (Saturday and Sunday) and on the streets, surface lots and ramps near Mall of America Field in Minneapolis (marathon and ten mile start line). Be aware that normal parking rules and fees apply and take note of any hooded meters (no parking). Please allow for extra time on race morning as some of the streets surrounding the Start, Finish, and Course may be blocked. We ask that you please be respectful of private property.

 

SEARS (just west of the Capitol in St. Paul) is offering limited Event Parking near the finish line on a first come first serve basis for $15.

Race Day Bus Schedule

***Buses will depart for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and Medtronic TC 10 Mile starting lines at the HHH Metrodome on Sunday morning from selected hotels. You must have your official race number visible on the front of your clothing to board the bus.

 

Buses will depart approximately every 10 minutes, or when full, from the above locations ONLY! The last bus leaves Saint Paul at 6:45 a.m. and Minneapolis at 7:00 a.m. sharp. Buses depart every 10 minutes, or when full, from the following three locations: Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel (5:00 a.m. - 6:45 a.m.) Best Western Kelly Inn (5:00 a.m. - 6:45 a.m.), and Radisson Plaza (5:30 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.).

 

Post-Race

Bus service after the race will be provided for PARTICIPANTS ONLY from 9:00am-2:45pm. You must have your official race number visible to board the bus. Runners can board return buses near the foot of the steps to the Capitol. This is also near the corner of Cedar Street and Aurora Ave. Buses marked Minneapolis will drop off at Mall of America Field and the Radisson Plaza only. Buses marked St. Paul will drop off at the Crowne Plaza only. Be sure to pack warm clothes in your race bag as you may have to wait up to 30 minutes to board a return bus.
