Sweats Check

You have two options for checking sweats at the Medtronic TC 1 Mile. We’ve provided secure Sweats Check areas at both the start and finish.  The start area sweats check will be located at the north end of Marquette Plaza. The finish line sweats check will be in the parking lot at the end of the finish chute between 14th and 15th Streets off Nicollet Avenue. Sweats will not be transported; you must pick up your sweats in the same place you checked them.

Plastic bags will be available at the Sweats Check for storing items during the race.  If your sweats are in a backpack or a bag that is not transparent, you’ll be asked to empty the contents into one of our plastic bags in order to check them.  WE DISCOURAGE RUNNERS FROM CARRYING THEIR SWEATS TO THE EVENT IN BACKPACKS, DUFFLE BAGS OR NON-TRANSPARENT BAGS

Just pin the sweats check tab from your race number onto the plastic bag provided at the sweats check area and your sweats will be secure while you race.  You’ll be able to pick up your sweats where you checked them until 8:15 p.m. You must have you race bib to pick up your bag.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR SWEATS UNATTENDED AT THE START, FINISH, OR ALONG THE COURSE.

Runners should not bring these devices with them to the race. Those carrying/wearing these devices will be given the option to surrender their device to a designated race official prior to entering the starting line chutes. Participants that choose not to surrender their device will be disqualified from the race, their finishing time will not appear in the official race results, and they may be banned from participating in future TCM events.
