Wave Information

The race will be run in multiple waves. The first wave starts at 6:52 p.m.* with each successive wave starting approximately 10-15 minutes after the one preceding it. See the chart below for wave information and start times.

Friends & Family Wave

This wave is for runners of all ages and abilities! Grab your friends or family members and get moving! Runners, joggers, and sprinters are all welcome! (Please leave your strollers and pets at home.)

Corporate Team Challenge Wave

This wave is exclusively for runners on corporate teams! Let's get competitive! Gather your coworkers, nominate a captain, and create a corporate team to run for extra benefits and awards for being one of the top three largest or fastest divisions.

USATF Minnesota Team Circuit Championship Wave

This wave makes up one of nine races in which USATF Minnesota registered teams compete for points toward year-end awards. Stay to watch local professionals who make up the field of runners in this wave for 2015 USATF Minnesota Team Circuit competitors presented by Twin Cities In Motion and Life Time Run.

Masters Wave

This wave is open to all runners ages 40 and older who are taking their race more seriously. Typically, runners who are looking for a little more space in their starting corral will tow the line in this wave.

Open Wave

This wave is open to all runners under age 40 who are taking their race more seriously. Typically, runners who are looking for a little more space in their starting corral will tow the line in this wave.

Women’s USA Championship Wave **

This wave is for invited USA Championship runners only. Stay to watch the professional women compete for the $25,000 prize purse! The field includes national and world class runners, including Team USA Minnesota athletes. The female event record was set in 2011 by Sara Hall at 4 minutes, 30.8 seconds!

Men’s USA Championship Wave **

This wave is for invited USA Championship runners only. Stay to watch the professional men compete for the $25,000 prize purse! The field includes national and world class runners, including Team USA Minnesota athletes. The male event record was set in 2013 by Nick Willis at 3 minutes, 56.1 seconds!

Host Hotel & Race Headquarters

The Depot will be the host hotel for the Medtronic TC 1 Mile. Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot offers a special rate of $144 per night for participants and spectators for May 14 – 15, 2015 under the Medtronic TC 1 Mile room block.

Guests may also make a reservation by calling (612) 375-1700 or (866) 211-4611. Be sure to confirm requested dates from May 14 - 15, 2015. Road Closure/Course Crossing Information

Course will close to traffic at 6:30 p.m. and reopen at approximately 8:30 p.m. Cross-streets will be open to traffic intermittently during this time. Please obey Law Enforcement and Course Marshal direction.
