RACE DETAILS
Below is the registration pricing for the Hot Dash 5K. Tier 1 and Tier 2 will close as blocks are filled. Price tier increases for tiers 3-7 are date-based. All registration tiers, including virtual, are subject to availability. Register early to guarantee your spot and shirt size.
Virtual registration is $39 for both the 5k and 10 Mile. There are no price increases in the virtual event.

Participants in the virtual 10 Mile and 5K will be able to submit results March 1 – December 31, 2023.

Gear will be mailed to the shipping address provided at the time of registration by Friday, April 7, 2023.
Any changes to your address must be sent to info@tcments.org prior to Friday, February 17, 2023. Additional charges or delays in shipping may apply for incorrect addresses.
Switching Distances or Transferring Registration
Runners wishing to switch race distance or transfer registration to another person must complete the process by Wednesday, March 15, 2023. There are fees involved. Switching and transferring processes are conducted through your Race Roster account. (Helpful instructions here.)
10 Mile runners aged 18 and under run at no cost at Twin Cities In Motion events through our TC Kids Run Free program. TCM Members and Donors support the program, the first installment of a larger initiative by nonprofit TCM to make events accessible to all.
Kids can run in either the event’s “grown-up” race(s) or in 1 mile, half a mile and pre-K-dash races held in conjunction with the event.

The Hot Dash 10 Mile will have Pace Runners by Medtronic. Charge your run with the right beat and shoot for your goal! We have lined up a huge range of paces available for this year’s Hot Dash 10 Mile.

Friends and family are welcome to come to the race, bring a motivational sign, and watch and cheer on participants! As always, please be respectful of private property and do not enter the race course. Pedestrians are permitted to cross the course at intersections where race officials are present to direct foot traffic.

Age group awards will be mailed out post-event for the categories of male, female, and non-binary athletes placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in their age group. Athletes registered under “prefer not to disclose” for gender are not eligible for age group awards.

Online registration closes when field limit is reached or at 6 p.m. on March 22, 2023, whichever comes first. Walk up registration will be offered at packet pick up March 23, 24 and 25, 2023, if spots are available. Register early for the lowest price!

Registrations may be switched between the 5K, 10 Mile and virtual distances OR to another person one time. Transfer fees and restrictions apply. Registrations may only be transferred within the designated transfer period for each event.

Refunds are available within 48 hours of registration. This policy is valid until 5 days before the event. To request a refund, email info@tcmevents.org within 48 hours of when you submitted your registration. If accepted, you will be refunded your race entry fee; online transaction fees are non-refundable. TCM does not have a deferral program.
Yes. Please have their race number and the correct spelling of the person's name available during pick up. Registrants will be notified of race numbers in the pre-race email following the end of online registration. Picking up others' packets is limited to FOUR at a time if others are waiting in line; thanks for understanding.
Participants may place their gear and other items in the clear, plastic race bag provided at gear check, marked with a flag and located between Packet Pick up and the Finish Line. Please take note of the following details related to this free, race day service:

No, you may walk or run at any time during the race. Hot Dash 10 Mile participants must, however, be able to maintain a 14-minute-per-mile pace throughout the race due to course limits. 5K participants must be able to maintain a 25-minute-per-mile pace throughout the race.
Strollers are permitted in the 5K and must display a stroller bib assigned at packet pickup. For security and safety purposes, all persons with a stroller or baby jogger in the Hot Dash 5K must be able to maintain a 25-minute-per-mile pace and agree to the guidelines listed in registration for participation with a stroller.
We love four-legged friends, however, they are not permitted on course. Thanks for understanding.
