Packet Pick Up

Parking Information

Parking is very limited; we strongly encourage carpooling or using public transportation.

PLEASE NOTE: I-35W between I-94 and Hwy 62 will now be closed until 8 a.m. on Saturday (not 5 a.m. as communicated in previous MnDOT emails). Please plan ahead and give yourself ample time to get to the event. More information: http://www.dot.state.mn.us/35w94/

Be sure to allow plenty of time (45 minutes to an hour) between arrival and start time to walk to the packet pick up area, use toilets, check your gear, line up in the start corral, and prepare for the event. The start lines are over .25 miles from the packet pick up/festival area. Please plan your route ahead of time and be respectful of private property.

The DROP OFF/PICK UP ZONE is located near Sheridan Memorial Park. Volunteers will be stationed to assist. To access this area, exit I-94 at Broadway St., take a left on Marshall St. NE, and then an immediate left onto 13th Ave. NE. Participants may be dropped here and can walk to the packet pick up area, approximately 0.6 miles on a plowed path. Vehicles and pedestrians in drop-off zone should use caution entering and exiting this area. Watch for icy spots!

Please be cautious of areas with no parking and be aware of current winter season parking requirements, snow emergency restrictions and traffic conditions in the city of Minneapolis. Please do not park in the Ramsey Neighborhood (adjacent to Boom Island Park). This is reserved for residents.

Limited free parking is available in three Graco lots on Marshall Street until lots are filled, signs will be posted at the entrance/exit to designated lots.

Note: lots will fill quickly and access to the lots adjacent to the race course may be limited until the streets re-open after the event.

  • Surface lot on the corner of Marshall St. and NE 9th Ave.
  • Surface lot on the corner of Broadway St. and Marshall St.
Hotel Information

Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot 225 3rd Ave South, Minneapolis, MN 55401, is approximately .8 miles from the start line and offers a special rate to participants and spectators under the Hot Dash room block.

Please contact Renaissance Reservations at (612) 375-1700 or 866-211-4611 and ask for the Hot Dash Block to get the group rate of $109.00 for a Standard Guest Room.

Questions?

When should I register?

Registration for the Hot Dash 5K begins Thursday, November 29, 2019 at 10 a.m. Registration closes when field limit is reached or at 6 p.m. on March 22, 2019, whichever comes first.

Registration prices increase as the field fills -- register early for the lowest price!

How can I see if I'm registered?

Use the online registration confirmation tool to verify entry to the 2019 Hot Dash.

Can I switch from the 5K to another distance?

Registrations may be transferred between the 5K and 10 mile distance. Transfer fees and restrictions apply. 

Registrations may also be transferred to another person. Registrations may only be transferred within the designated transfer period for each event and within the same event and distance as the original registration. The Hot Dash transfer deadline is March 15, 2019. Additional fees and restrictions may apply. Once race numbers are assigned, they are never transferable.

Can I receive a refund or defer my entry to next year?

Refunds are available within 48 hours of registration. This policy is valid until 5 days before the event. To request a refund, email info@tcmevents.org or call 651-289-7701 within 48 hours of when you submitted your registration. If accepted, you will be refunded your race entry fee; online transaction fees are non-refundable. Deferrals are not permitted.

Can I pick up my friend's packet?

Yes. Please have ready their race number and the correct spelling of the person's name. Registrants will be notified of race numbers in the pre-race email following the end of online registration. Picking up others' packets is limited to FOUR at a time if others are waiting; thanks for understanding.

Do I have to run the entire time?

No, you may walk or run at any time during the race. Hot Dash 5K participants must, however, be able to maintain a 25-minute-per-mile pace throughout the race due to course limits.

Can I run with a stroller?

Strollers which display an assigned "Stroller Bib" are permitted on the Hot Dash 5K course. Strollers are not permitted in the Hot Dash 10 Mile. For security and safety purposes, all persons with a stroller or baby jogger in the Hot Dash 5K must be able to maintain a 25-minute-per-mile pace and agree to the guidelines listed in registration for participation with a stroller.

Can I run with my dog/pets?

We love four-legged friends, however, they are not permitted on course. Thanks for understanding.
