Events and Services Division

 

The Events & Services Division organizes and plans all supplementary events to marathon week. The division is responsible for the following events: Health & Fitness Expo (seminars and packet pick up), and the VIP reception. The Corporate Team Challenge, Race Challenges Series, Charter Club, Information Booth, VIP Tent, and Beer Garden (Brew Crew) committees work to enhance the runner and spectator experience. Also, within Events & Services, the Pro Athlete Services committee enhances the stature of the event in the racing community by recruiting and coordinating hospitality for pro athletes to compete for National Championships and substantial prize purses.

Corporate Team Challenge Captain 

1 position available  

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Off Season Event Responsibilities: 
    • Help manage the Hot Dash event for corporate teams—prizes, socializing, ensuring everything goes smoothly. 
  • Marathon Weekend Responsibilities: 
    • Friday: finish line walk-through; set-up 5K/10K tent. 
    • Saturday: manage 5K/10K tent—greet guests, socialize, promote Corporate Team Challenge, and clean up tent. Make sure marathon tent is set-up for Sunday. 
    • Sunday: manage marathon tent—greet guests, manage volunteers, police door to ensure only CTC members join, clean-up throughout and also take down and clean afterwards. 
  • Attend meetings throughout the year as needed 
  • Aid in team and participant recruitment for the CTC program

Brew Crew Committee 

2 positions available  

Brew Crew Committee members support TCM in the planning and execution of the Beer Garden strategies and operations. Lead the management of the Beer Garden Marathon Weekend, Hot Dash, Women Run the Cities, and the Red, White & Boom! with the goal of providing the highest quality of customer service to all categories of customers – participants, sponsors, vendors, spectators, and volunteers.  

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Help oversee the set-up and take-down of the Beer Garden area on event day (tables, chairs, signage)   
  • Recruit and train additional race day volunteers to support Beer Garden activations   
  • Assist with security and crowd control  
  • Manage ID check/wristbanding and distribution of beverages
