National Running Day
National Running Day is a collaborative effort among the major organizations within the running industry aimed at incorporating the sport of running as a healthy, easy, and accessible form of exercise.
Celebrate with us on Wednesday, June 5!
What's the best way to celebrate National Running Day?
By going for a run, of course!
Run around the lakes of Minneapolis between 5 - 8:00 p.m. on June 5th and quench your thirst at the TCM Water Stop! We'll be camped out in our usual water stop spot in the Lake Calhoun Center parking lot on the north side Lake Calhoun, just off the lake path. (Click here for a map.) The TCM team will add to the fun with random giveaways to runners. It’s the perfect kick off to Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon training season – all runners welcome! Stop by while on a run, or just come hang out!
Free Group Runs, 6:00 p.m.
Enjoy light refreshments and prize giveaways afterwards, courtesy of Twin Cities In Motion and Running Room!
TCM Water Stop, Lake Calhoun Center parking lot (3033 Excelsior Boulevard)
Running Room – Uptown (2801 Hennepin Ave)
Running Room – St. Paul (1068 Grand Avenue)
Running Room – Eden Prairie (582 Prairie Center Dr., Tower Square Shopping Center)
About National Running Day
National Running Day, held annually on the first Wednesday in June, is a day when runners everywhere declare their passion for running. Wherever we are and whomever we’re with, we run—fast or slow, alone or with others, all over town or just around the block. It is a coast-to-coast celebration of a sport and activity that’s simple, inexpensive, and fun. It’s the perfect way for longtime runners to reaffirm their love of running and for beginners to kick off a lifetime and life-changing commitment.
