  1. Name: Jill Campbell
  2. Age (or rough estimate): Almost 30!!
  3. City: Minneapolis, MN
  4. Profession: Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator
  5. Been running since: 2007, wish I would have started younger, but glad I did nonetheless.
  6. What made you start? At the time I couldn't afford to join a gym, but knew I needed to get in shape after putting on a few pounds after getting married. A couple friends had asked me to run with them at the Aquatennial Torchlight 5k, and I have been running ever since.
  7. Training program you follow: Right now I am following a marathon training program from the Smart Coach tool on Runner's World. It has me running 4 days a week.
  8. Best run/running experience: Finishing my first marathon, the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon in 2009. My 89 year-old grandmother was waiting for me on Summit and then again at the finish line. It was a wonderful experience.
  9. Worst run/running experience: While training for the 2009 TCM, I was running and tripped and fell over a rock. I messed up my face a bit and was so embarassed I had to call in sick to work!
  10. Dream training partner: Kara Goucher due to her amazing running ability while balancing a family life. Plus she has Minnesota roots! 
  11. Training shoe: My Asics 2170's, I have tried running in other shoes, but always go back to my Asics.
  12. Favorite running route: Minnehaha Parkway. I love all the twists and turns and it feels so secluded right in the middle of the city.
  13. Pre-run food: Oatmeal and chocolate soymilk
  14. Post-run food: More chocolate soymilk!
  15. Training gadget: I use to use a Garmin, but I became so obsessed with it, I would get frustrated with myself. Now I just go out on my own.
  16. Goals? Someday I would love to run the Antarctica Marathon, but I have to save a lot of money for that!
  17. Upcoming races? The Amsterdam Marathon this October!
  18. Favorite non-running activities  Reading, happy hour, traveling
  19. Mode of transportation (other than your legs): My Mazda and my hybrid bike
  20. Music: Always the Beatles!
